Bajel Projects has secured two EPC orders worth more than Rs 7 billion under the WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A.

The company has been awarded transmission line packages TL06 and TL02. Under its project classification policy, inclusive of GST, TL06 is classified as a Mega order worth Rs 300-400 crore, while TL02 is categorised as an Ultra-Mega order worth more than Rs 400 crore.

The TL06 package covers the loop-in loop-out of the Ranchi (New)-New PPSP 400kV double-circuit line at Jamshedpur (New). The scope includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of new 400kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Jamshedpur (New) with Ranchi (New) and New PPSP.

The TL02 package involves construction of the Raigarh (Tamnar)-Jamshedpur (New) 765kV double-circuit transmission line, Part-II.

Together, the two packages are expected to strengthen inter-regional power evacuation capacity between India’s Western and Eastern regions and improve grid connectivity across Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO, Bajel Projects Limited, said the two orders reinforce the company’s execution capabilities across both 400kV and 765kV transmission systems.

He added that the packages represent one of Bajel Projects’ largest transmission line wins and will support stronger power flow across the WR-ER corridor.
