Ceigall India (CIL) has received a letter of intent from REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) on third September 2026 for a tariff based contract to develop a common transmission system. The intimation follows prior regulatory filings and was submitted to stock exchanges as required. The award relates to a government-linked transmission assignment and has been classified as a domestic contract by the awarding authority.

The scope covers construction of a 765/400 kV AIS substation and a 300 kilometre transmission line to evacuate power from multiple generation clusters. The project includes evacuation from Lakadia Phase II totalling 7,500 MW, Jam Khambhaliya Phase II totalling 5,500 MW and Jamnagar Phase I totalling 1,000 MW under Part B of the scheme. The contract is structured as a tariff based agreement and identifies specific technical and commercial milestones for delivery.

Execution is scheduled over 36 months with an operational concession of 35 years thereafter. Broad consideration for transmission charges has been stated as Rs. 608.67 crores annually for the concession period, equivalent to Rs. 6,086.7 mn per year, while the total project cost is indicated at approximately Rs. 5,300 crores, equivalent to Rs. 53 bn inclusive of GST. The company has confirmed that neither the promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the awarding entity and that the contract is not a related party transaction.

The company has uploaded the intimation to its corporate website and filed the disclosure with the stock exchanges in line with listing obligations. Company secretarial records record the submission and the communication was signed off by the company secretary. The award will advance the firm's presence in high voltage transmission projects and support regional evacuation capacity while not creating any related party exposure.
