Power utility CESC Ltd on Tuesday announced that its subsidiary, Purvah Green Power Pvt Ltd, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) to develop a 300 MW solar power project integrated with an energy storage system.
In a regulatory filing, the company said the LoA was issued on 27 October, and Purvah Green Power has formally acknowledged its receipt and acceptance.
The award is part of SECI’s Request for Selection (RfS) process for setting up 2,000 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects, coupled with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh of energy storage capacity across India.
This initiative aims to enhance the nation’s renewable energy infrastructure and ensure better grid stability through large-scale solar generation paired with storage systems.
