The Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (DIPA) has onboarded Gruner Renewable Energy as a new member to support the integration of green energy solutions into India’s telecom and digital infrastructure ecosystem.
DIPA, India’s apex industry body for digital infrastructure providers and a key stakeholder under the National Broadband Mission 2.0 of the Department of Telecommunications, said the partnership aligns with its vision of building a zero-carbon and future-ready ecosystem.
India’s telecom sector is among the country’s most energy-intensive industries, with towers, fibre nodes and last-mile connectivity infrastructure contributing significantly to operational expenditure and carbon emissions. Diesel generators continue to be used at remote sites as backup and primary power sources, increasing exposure to fuel price volatility and greenhouse gas emissions.
Gruner Renewable Energy operates in the compressed biogas sector and provides end-to-end EPC solutions across concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational support. The company focuses on converting biomass and bio-waste into clean renewable fuel solutions.
The partnership is expected to support policy advocacy and promote sustainable clean energy standards for India’s digital connectivity infrastructure. DIPA said Gruner’s expertise in renewable energy and zero-carbon solutions will help strengthen the sector’s transition towards resilient and environmentally responsible infrastructure.
