DS Group Expands Climate Action Strategy

Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group) has strengthened its portfolio-wide climate action strategy, reinforcing sustainability across its business operations on Earth Day.

Aligned with India’s updated Nationally Determined Contributions, the company’s roadmap focuses on decarbonisation, resource efficiency and responsible growth. DS Group is preparing a comprehensive greenhouse gas inventory for FY2024–25 covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions across operations, energy use and the supply chain.

The exercise is aimed at identifying key emission drivers and enabling targeted, data-led interventions across the value chain. The company said the approach will integrate climate considerations into governance and future decision-making.

Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, DS Group, said future expansion plans will be assessed through a climate-risk lens to ensure growth remains aligned with sustainability goals. He added that the company is accelerating renewable energy adoption, circular economy practices and responsible sourcing.

DS Group also highlighted zero regulatory non-compliance, no stakeholder complaints, no product recalls linked to quality issues, 100 per cent pay parity and zero data breaches as part of its governance framework.
