Envision Energy To Supply 152 Smart Turbines For Evren Project

Chinese renewable energy solutions provider Envision Energy has signed an agreement with Evren, backed by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), to supply around 152 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) from its EN 156/3.3 MW Turbine Platform.

In a statement, Envision Energy confirmed that Evren will deploy the 3.3 MW Smart Wind Turbines in Andhra Pradesh, as part of its expanding renewable energy portfolio in India. Evren aims to develop over 10 GW of renewable assets spanning solar, wind, and battery storage projects across key states, including Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier this year, Envision Energy held the ground-breaking ceremony for its 2 GW Blade Manufacturing Facility at Kalyangadh in Bavla Taluka, Ahmedabad District, Gujarat. The new facility, representing part of Envision’s Rs 5 billion expansion plan, marks its third manufacturing site in India and is designed to enhance the company’s local production and supply capabilities.

According to Envision, its Smart Wind Turbines feature a 156-metre rotor diameter and a 140-metre hub height, optimised for India’s diverse wind conditions. The 3.3 MW turbine platform has already proven successful in fast-growing renewable markets across the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China, with 2.5 GW of installed capacity operational in India. The EN 156/3.3 MW model is engineered to maximise Annual Energy Output (AEP) while achieving one of the lowest Levelised Costs of Energy (LCoE) in its category.

Commenting on the partnership, R.P.V. Prasad, Managing Director, Envision Energy India, said, “It is a proud moment for us to partner with Evren on this 501.6 MW order for our Smart Wind Turbines. This marks the first step in supporting Evren’s large-scale decarbonisation goals and reinforces our position as a trusted energy solutions partner.”

Suman Kumar, CEO of Evren, added, “Our collaboration with Envision Energy India reflects not only a key milestone in our ambition to develop over 10 GW of large-scale renewable projects but also our confidence in Envision’s proven expertise and reliability.”
