Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited (HREPL) has surpassed four terawatt hours (TWh) of cumulative clean energy generation since inception, the company announced in its FY26 Sustainability Report. The milestone was said to have helped mitigate three point one seven mn t of carbon dioxide emissions and to underscore progress against its carbon neutrality and net-zero commitments.

HREPL operates a renewable portfolio exceeding one point one gigawatt-peak (GWp) across India and a diversified three GWp pipeline of operational and under-development solar and wind projects. The company is also expanding into battery energy storage systems (BESS) and pumped hydro storage to advance an integrated clean energy strategy. It reaffirmed targets to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero by 2040.

During FY2025-26 HREPL generated one point one zero three TWh of renewable electricity from operational assets, supporting its Mission 10-2030 strategy to develop 10 GW of capacity by 2030. The firm said it continued investment in digital platforms and utility-scale storage to improve grid flexibility. The FY26 report framed these outcomes as operational growth aligned with sustainability.

HREPL reported a 60–70 per cent reduction in water use for module cleaning through robotic cleaning technology and said more than 99 per cent of waste generated during the year was recycled through authorised recyclers. Under corporate social responsibility programmes the company expanded water stewardship in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, creating 62.33 mn litres of new water storage capacity.

The company reported workforce numbers approximately doubled while achieving 100 per cent employee health insurance coverage and delivering approximately 446,122 occupational health and safety training hours. Emergency response plans were implemented across operational sites as part of governance improvements. HREPL said it will continue to expand utility-scale renewable projects, commercial and industrial clean energy solutions and digital energy platforms under its Mission 10-2030 roadmap.
