Hindustan Power Signs PSA To Supply 130 MW To Assam

Hindustan Power, through its subsidiary MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Ltd, has signed a Power Supply Agreement with Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) to provide 130 MW of electricity from its Annupur plant. The agreement has been executed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model.

The PSA follows a Letter of Award issued by APDCL earlier this year and marks a significant step towards meeting Assam’s rising energy needs. Hindustan Power began supplying electricity to the State in October 2025, ensuring reliable power for both industrial and domestic consumers.

Ratul Puri, chairman of Hindustan Power, said the company values its partnership with APDCL, which reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting State utilities with stable and efficient power supply. “We are glad to contribute to Assam’s power requirements and its broader development priorities,” he said.

By commencing supply to Assam, Hindustan Power has strengthened its role in addressing regional electricity needs and supporting India’s shift towards a more resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem. The initiative forms part of wider efforts to reinforce energy security as the country transitions to cleaner and more reliable power systems.
