Ireda Net Profit Rises to Rs. 5.54 bn in Q2 FY27

State-owned Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (Ireda) reported a marginal rise in standalone net profit to Rs. 5.54 bn for the September quarter of FY27, compared with Rs. 5.49 bn in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The lender announced the results on Monday.

Revenue from operations increased 14 per cent year on year to Rs. 23.45 bn in the July-September quarter, from Rs. 20.57 bn a year earlier. Loan disbursements rose 31 per cent to Rs. 105.79 bn, compared with Rs. 80.62 bn in the year-ago period, reflecting continued demand for financing renewable energy projects.

Ireda’s loan book expanded 15 per cent to Rs. 974.11 bn in Q2 FY27, from Rs. 844.77 bn in Q2 FY26. Net worth increased 11 per cent to Rs. 143.37 bn during the quarter, compared with Rs. 129.2 bn a year earlier.

Asset quality also improved during the period. Net non-performing assets declined to 1.08 per cent from 1.97 per cent a year earlier, indicating a reduction in stressed assets and improved portfolio performance.

The company said the quarterly performance reflected the strength of its business fundamentals and its focus on quality growth. It attributed the increase in disbursements and the expansion of the loan book to sustained demand for renewable energy financing across India, while the improvement in net non-performing assets was linked to its risk management and monitoring framework.

Ireda operates under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy as a state-owned non-banking financial company. It finances renewable energy projects across India, including initiatives supporting the expansion of the country’s clean energy capacity.
