Juniper Green Energy Signs PPA With SJVN for 50 MW FDRE
Under the agreement the company must provide four hours of peak-hour supply with 90 per cent availability on a monthly basis and meet a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor as required in the bid. The project will combine solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) technologies to meet the supply obligations set out in the PPA. The configuration is intended to ensure dispatchability and operational reliability over the contracted term.
With this addition Juniper Green Energy's portfolio now stands at 11,216 megawatt-peak (MWp) of renewable energy capacity, complemented by 8,989 megawatt-hour (MWh) of BESS capacity, reinforcing its position as a scaled and integrated renewable energy platform. The figures reflect cumulative operational and contracted assets across technologies and geographies. The combined asset base spans generation and storage and supports grid flexibility objectives.
The project includes technical and performance metrics to secure firm supply and align with SJVN's FDRE-2 objectives. Payments under the PPA will be linked to availability and performance and the agreement sets operational targets and remedies under the bid framework. The tenure and tariff provide revenue visibility for the project across the 25-year period. Stakeholders will monitor performance against the contractual availability and capacity metrics during initial operation.
