KEC International Bags Rs 11.33 Bn Transmission & Distribution Orders

KEC International, a prominent global infrastructure EPC company and a part of the RPG Group, announced that it had secured new transmission and distribution (T\&D) project orders worth Rs 11.33 billion in India. The company’s shares were expected to draw attention on Monday, May 19.
The newly won orders include a significant contract from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for the construction of a ±800 kV HVDC transmission line along with a 765 kV GIS substation. Additionally, KEC International secured an order from a leading private developer for a 400 kV Quad transmission line.
Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International, expressed his satisfaction with the multiple orders obtained by their T\&D business from PGCIL and the private developer. He noted that these prestigious orders had considerably strengthened the company's India T\&D order book. Kejriwal also highlighted the company’s pride in securing another HVDC order, building upon the strong foundation of wins from the previous year. He maintained an optimistic outlook on the sector's growth, attributing it to the country’s increasing energy demands and the government’s firm commitment to expanding renewable energy and reinforcing transmission infrastructure.
KEC International stated that these new orders would play a significant role in advancing its targeted growth path and supporting India’s drive towards a robust and future-ready energy infrastructure.
