KP Energy Secures 40.8 MW Wind?Solar Hybrid in Gujarat
The turnkey scope includes supply, installation and commissioning of generation assets, development of evacuation infrastructure and facilitation of grid connectivity. KP Energy Limited will also be responsible for obtaining required statutory and regulatory approvals and coordinating final handover to the client. The company stated that the contract enhances its execution pipeline and positions it as an integrated renewable energy solutions provider.
The assignment advances KP Energy Limited's stated target to add 100 MW of independent power producer capacity by 2027–28, according to a company disclosure attributed to its chief financial officer. The new award contributes to the group's completed hybrid installations of 48.5 MW and supports the drive to achieve the remaining 51.5 MW ahead of the previously announced timeline. The development is expected to complement wider strategic plans for growth in onshore hybrid projects.
KP Group has previously entered a framework to jointly develop up to two gigawatt (GW) of wind and wind?solar hybrid projects with Senvion India and partner entities and intends to deploy these projects across multiple Indian states. The agreement involved KPI Green Energy Limited, KP Energy Limited and KP Green Engineering Limited together with a Dubai?based investment partner. The recent LoA underscores a broader industry shift toward larger turbine platforms, hybrid models and compressed execution timetables. The company expects the work to support local supply chains and spur employment during execution.
