Power Mech Projects Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 10.089 billion (bn), according to a regulatory filing on June 20. The award gives the company stronger revenue visibility and is expected to reinforce its order book. The move will improve its standing in India's power infrastructure sector. The contract has been awarded by JSW Thermal Energy Limited and covers civil and structural work for the Boiler, Turbine and Generator area of the plant. The project involves two 800 Megawatt (MW) units to be developed at Salboni in West Bengal. Civil works for the BTG area are critical for setting up heavy power generation facilities and for ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. The scope includes foundations, structural steelwork and associated infrastructure required for BTG installations.

The project underscores ongoing investment in India's energy infrastructure and supports capacity addition to meet rising electricity demand from industry, commerce and households.
