Saatvik Wins PM-KUSUM Solar Pump Project In Maharashtra

Saatvik Green Energy on Monday said it has secured a project worth Rs 135 million under the PM-KUSUM scheme in Maharashtra.

The order has been awarded by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, the company said in a regulatory filing. The project involves the installation and commissioning of 815 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems at identified farmer sites across the state.

The systems will include pumps of 3 horsepower, 5 horsepower and 7.5 horsepower capacity, aimed at supporting agricultural irrigation through clean and decentralised solar power solutions.

Launched in 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan seeks to add 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, with a focus on boosting farmers’ incomes and reducing dependence on grid electricity and diesel.
