Solarium Green Energy has secured a 50 megawatt (MW) turnkey solar project in Maharashtra after being awarded the contract by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd. The contract is valued at Rs 1,885 million (mn), excluding goods and services tax. Solarium will deliver end to end project development including design, procurement, construction and three years of operations and maintenance.

The project reflects a preference among state utilities for integrated engineering, procurement and construction solutions that provide single point responsibility and operational accountability. The award highlights the increasing scale and financial depth of mid-sized solar EPC players competing in the renewable market. The contract reinforces Solarium’s transition from rooftop focused work to diversified utility scale delivery.
