Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for a grid-connected solar photovoltaic project, strengthening its presence in the utility-scale renewable energy segment.

The company has received a Letter of Award for EPC works for a 250 MWac solar PV project. The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, is valued at approximately Rs 7.25 billion, inclusive of applicable taxes, according to a regulatory filing.

The scope of work includes end-to-end execution of the project, covering engineering, procurement and construction of the solar power facility. The project is scheduled to be completed during FY27, in line with the timelines specified in the order.

Solarworld Energy Solutions clarified that neither its promoter nor any promoter group entity has an interest in NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. The company added that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction and has been awarded on an arm’s length basis.
