TGRPDCL Chief Urges Farmers To Avail Solar Power Scheme

The chairman and managing director of Telangana Grameen Power Distribution Company Limited (TGRPDCL) urged farmers to take up the utility's solar power scheme to reduce agricultural power costs and enhance income through surplus energy sales. He explained that the programme offers structured installation support and streamlined connections to the grid to facilitate energy export and billing. The official emphasised that technology adoption would strengthen farm resilience and contribute to wider state renewable energy targets. He said dedicated helplines would address technical queries and operational concerns.

TGRPDCL has coordinated with local agricultural cooperatives and financing partners to simplify application procedures and expedite approvals. The CMD outlined a single window process for registrations and said trained teams would assist with site surveys and paperwork. Farmers were encouraged to register at designated centres or through the utility's online portal to access technical guidance and available incentives. Outreach teams will hold local meetings to explain technical standards and safety norms.

The scheme is designed to integrate with existing irrigation infrastructure and the distribution network so that generation is matched to demand patterns. Officials noted that proper system sizing and maintenance are essential to secure reliable generation over the asset life. The CMD urged farm community leaders to disseminate information and help neighbours evaluate suitability of rooftop or ground mounted systems.
