Transrail Lighting Secures Rs. 9.27 bn in New Orders

Transrail Lighting, an engineering, procurement and construction company in the transmission and distribution sector, has announced new orders worth Rs. 9.27 bn, primarily from its domestic power transmission and distribution business. Following these wins, the company’s order intake for the year has reached Rs. 33.56 bn.

The latest orders mainly comprise engineering, procurement and construction projects for domestic 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines. The order book also includes conductor supply contracts for customers in the US, giving the company additional exposure to international markets.

Transrail Lighting said the new contracts continued its recent order-winning momentum. The company has secured more than Rs. 23 bn in orders announced over the past three weeks, strengthening its position in the power transmission and distribution market.

The company attributed its ability to pursue these projects to expanded in-house manufacturing capabilities for transmission towers and conductors. It also pointed to sustained demand from domestic and international transmission and distribution markets as a factor supporting its business pipeline.

Randeep Narang, managing director and chief executive officer of Transrail Lighting, said the strong order inflows reflected the company’s increasing scale and competitiveness in the power transmission and distribution sector. He added that its in-house tower and conductor manufacturing capabilities supported its ability to secure complex transmission projects. Narang said the company would continue developing a diversified business across its products and services, supported by its established domestic presence and growing international operations.
