Vikram Solar Secures 187 MW Module Order for Karnataka, Tamil Nadu
Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply high-efficiency N-Type TOPCon G12R modules with power ratings ranging from 615 Wp to 625 Wp. The modules use glass-to-glass construction and bifacial technology, enabling them to generate electricity from both sides and support higher output from project sites.
The company said demand from major renewable energy developers, along with its expansion in high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing, was supporting its order book. The order comes as India works towards its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power capacity. Vikram Solar chief executive officer Sameer Nagpal said the growth of the solar sector was increasing demand for technologies offering performance, reliability and long-term value in utility-scale projects. He added that the company would continue investing in technology and maintaining manufacturing and execution standards.
In a separate development on September 28, Vikram Solar secured a 400 MW module supply order from an Indian engineering, procurement and construction company for decentralised solar projects across Maharashtra. Supplies under that agreement were scheduled to begin in October 2026 and will include 620 Wp N-Type TOPCon G12R modules with glass-to-glass construction, bifacial technology and half-cut cells. Vikram Solar shares closed 2.90 per cent lower at Rs. 142.50 on October 15, declining Rs. 4.25 from the previous close.
