Digital technology company Avantel has secured a purchase order valued at Rs. 1.77 bn from Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses for the supply of satellite communication equipment. The order was disclosed by Avantel in a regulatory filing on 23 September 2026, following the receipt of the firm purchase order dated 22 September.

The contract is required to be executed by March 2027. Avantel said the purchase order had been issued pursuant to an earlier rate contract, and covers the supply of equipment for satellite communication applications. The company did not provide further details on the number or type of units to be supplied.

The order value, converted from the amount disclosed in the filing, makes it a significant contract for Avantel’s business. The company’s regulatory disclosure identified Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses as the customer and confirmed that the purchase order was firm rather than a preliminary proposal or enquiry.

Avantel designs, develops and manufactures defence electronics products, and also deploys such systems for customers. Its activities include providing equipment and related support for communications and other defence technology requirements. The company additionally provides after-market support to its clients, covering services after the delivery of its products.

The latest contract adds to Avantel’s order activity in the satellite communication equipment segment. Execution will continue through March 2027, giving the company a defined delivery schedule for the contract.
