HKSTP Invests in Vizzio to Advance AI and Smart City Innovation

Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) has announced a strategic investment and partnership with Singapore-based Vizzio Technologies, a global player in 3D mapping and AI-powered security solutions. The agreement was formalised at a signing event at Hong Kong Science Park and includes an investment by HKSTP through its Corporate Venture Fund (CVF) as well as the establishment of Vizzio’s new office at the park, focused on research and development, artificial intelligence, and marketing.
The collaboration is aimed at accelerating Vizzio’s international expansion while strengthening Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem and smart city ambitions. By integrating Vizzio’s advanced technologies, the partnership seeks to enhance public safety, urban planning and digital transformation, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global innovation and technology hub.
Vizzio’s proprietary 3D mapping technology delivers clarity of up to 15 centimetres from satellite imagery. Compared with traditional drone-based mapping, the AI-driven solution reduces costs by nearly two-thirds and shortens project timelines by up to five times. Using this approach, mapping Hong Kong’s 1,110-square-kilometre area can be completed in under five days, compared with several months using conventional methods.
