Ingersoll Rand Launches RSbn Nirvana Screw Compressors

Ingersoll Rand (India)  has launched the RSbn Nirvana Series screw air compressors in India, aimed at helping industries reduce energy consumption and operating costs. Available in the 7 kW to 250 kW range, the new series is equipped with an inbuilt Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and a high-efficiency IE5 Permanent Magnet motor, designed for applications with fluctuating air demand.

The RSbn Nirvana Series aligns compressed air output precisely with real-time demand, addressing energy losses associated with conventional load–unload compressor operations. This is particularly relevant for sectors such as textiles, general manufacturing and process industries, where compressed air is among the most energy-intensive utilities and duty cycles can vary significantly.

Commenting on the launch, Guru Kabad, Senior Product Manager – Contact Cooled Rotary and Small Air Compression Systems & Services – India & SAARC, Ingersoll Rand (India) Ltd, said, “The RSbn Nirvana Series is tailor-made for industries such as textiles, where compressor duty cycles can vary anywhere between 30 per cent and 90 per cent. With inbuilt VFD and IE5 Permanent Magnet motor technology, the RSbn Nirvana Series delivers substantial energy savings.”

The integrated VFD continuously adjusts compressor speed based on demand and automatically shuts down at zero load, eliminating idle power consumption. Combined with the IE5 motor’s superior part-load efficiency, the system helps lower electricity use and total cost of ownership. Backed by Ingersoll Rand’s local presence and service network, the RSbn Nirvana Series supports Indian manufacturers in improving efficiency and building more sustainable operations.
