Klaas Bijlsma Marks 100th Liebherr Machine Delivery

Klaas Bijlsma BV has taken delivery of its 100th earthmoving machine from Liebherr-France SAS, marking a milestone in a partnership that dates back to 1972. The latest addition, an R 926 crawler excavator, was developed and manufactured in Colmar, France.

The collaboration began with the purchase of an R 941 crawler excavator and has since grown steadily, supported by machine reliability, operational efficiency and customer support from local partner Wynmalen & Hausmann NV. A previous milestone was achieved in 1992 with the delivery of the 50th machine.

“The reliability, quality and ease of operation of the machines form the basis of our decision to choose Liebherr,” said Jurjen Rotsma, Managing Director of Klaas Bijlsma BV. “For our operators, Liebherr is the Mercedes of construction machines; they wouldn’t want anything else.”

Today, Klaas Bijlsma BV operates a fleet of 26 machines, including wheel loaders, crawler dozers and excavators ranging from 2 to 34 tonnes, of which 12 are Liebherr units. The continued preference reflects consistent performance and service support.

Founded in 1932, the Netherlands-based company specialises in structural and civil engineering, focusing on road construction and pipework. Its long-term association with Liebherr underpins its operational capabilities in delivering regional infrastructure projects.
