Kalpataru has adopted the Model Sub Registration Office (SRO) facility developed by the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Government of Maharashtra, in partnership with VFS Global, for property registrations.

Kalpataru has used the Model SRO facility at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) as part of its efforts to streamline the property registration process for homebuyers.

The Model SRO combines technology-enabled processes with a customer-focused registration environment. Subject to complete documentation and fulfilment of formalities, the registration process can potentially be completed in around 30 minutes, with same day documentation facilitated under the system.

The facility currently has a capacity of around 30 registrations or tokens per day. It also provides lounge style waiting and seating areas and trained personnel to assist customers through the registration process.

Parag M. Munot, Managing Director, Kalpataru, said the initiative could make property registration more efficient and convenient for homebuyers and contribute to a more consumer friendly real estate ecosystem.

The Model SRO is part of the Maharashtra government's efforts to streamline the existing property registration process and reduce the time involved in completing registrations.

Kalpataru said its adoption of the facility was aligned with its focus on technology enabled initiatives across the homebuying journey.
