Lemon Tree Signs 100-Room Hotel in Najibabad Uttar Pradesh

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited (LTHL) has signed a licence agreement for a new hotel in Najibabad, Uttar Pradesh, that will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited (Carnation Hotels), a wholly owned subsidiary of LTHL. The signing marks the company's 25th property in the state and underscores expansion in one of India's fastest-growing travel markets. The group currently operates eight hotels in Uttar Pradesh with 17 more in the pipeline.

The upcoming Lemon Tree hotel will be located in the Bijnor district and is positioned as a gateway to Haridwar, Rishikesh and Jim Corbett National Park. Steady pilgrimage and wildlife tourism demand, together with improving infrastructure, support the case for branded hospitality in the town. The site is 88 km from Jolly Grant Airport and eight point six km from Najibabad Junction railway station, offering connectivity for business and leisure travellers.

The property will feature 100 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall and a conference room, with recreational amenities including a fitness centre, a swimming pool and a spa. Management will be through Carnation Hotels as part of the group's operational model under LTHL. Timelines for completion and opening have not been disclosed.

The signing reinforces LTHL's strategy of deepening presence in high-potential regional markets by bringing branded hospitality to emerging destinations. Company leadership said Najibabad's crossroads position between spiritual, leisure and transit travel is an attractive addition to the portfolio and affirmed continued focus on value and guest experience. The group operates more than 120 hotels across more than 80 cities and maintains a pipeline of over 130 upcoming properties, and the broader portfolio has grown since the group opened its first 49-room hotel in 2004 to over 260 properties operational and upcoming.
