Over 252 illegal buildings receive eviction notices from CIDCO

City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) serves eviction notices on over 252 illegal structures under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act 1966.

Around 252 illegal buildings were demolished during the lockdown on plots reserved for public amenities, open spaces and 12.5% allotment to projects affected people and grounds within the jurisdiction of local bodies like Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC).

CIDCO had warned the respective home buyers to refrain from property transactions in these unauthorised building constructions.
