The Adani Group is set to expand its cement footprint in Madhya Pradesh with plans to establish a major cement grinding unit at Guna, strengthening its presence in one of India’s key cement-producing states.

Adani Cement has secured land for a six million tonne per annum grinding unit at Guna, involving an investment of around Rs 15 billion. The project is expected to generate about 300 direct jobs and nearly 1,200 indirect employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to industrial activity and local livelihoods in the region.

In parallel, the group is advancing plans for a second cement grinding unit in Ujjain district. The proposed facility, also with a capacity of six million tonnes per annum, is expected to involve an investment of approximately Rs 14 billion and would require around 70 acres of land.

Confirming the developments, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla said there are two proposals from the Adani Group for Guna and Ujjain. He added that while land has already been allotted for the Guna project, the Ujjain proposal is under consideration, with alternative locations such as Bhopal and Rewa also being explored.

Adani Cement, which includes Ambuja Cements and ACC, already has an operational presence in the state through ACC’s integrated cement plant at Kymore. The proposed investments are expected to further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s position as a major hub for cement manufacturing while supporting infrastructure growth across central India.
