Aludecor Launches Weather-Responsive Intelligent Louvers

Aludecor has recently launched Alubreeze Intelligent Louvers, an indigenously developed intelligent louver system designed to respond automatically to changing sunlight, rain and wind conditions. The system can also be monitored and controlled remotely from anywhere through mobile and web-based platforms.
The motorised metal sun louver system uses environmental inputs to adjust louver positions, helping reduce solar exposure and glare while improving control over façade performance. According to the company, the solution enables façades to function as active building-performance elements rather than static architectural features.
“The façade should do more than define a building’s appearance; it should actively contribute to how the building performs. With Alubreeze Intelligent Louver System, we are making the façade more responsive to its environment, bringing together design, performance and intelligent control in one system,” said Ashok Kumar Bhaiya, Chairman and Managing Director, Aludecor.
Built on the company’s Alubreeze Architectural Louver Systems, the intelligent solution combines a controller, 24V linear actuator, environmental sensors and the AluSync Cloud platform. It can be operated through a mobile application or web dashboard and supports Building Management System (BMS) and API integration. Hall-sensor feedback helps verify louver positions for closed-loop control.
The louvers can be programmed to adjust throughout the day based on sunlight intensity and can automatically move to protective positions during rainfall or strong winds. The system is available in fixed and intelligent configurations, with single and double louver options at 30°, 45° and 90° angles. Profile sizes range from 100 mm to 600 mm and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
Aludecor said the louvers can help reduce the effective Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of glazed façades and support improvements in a building’s Energy Performance Index. Independent studies cited by the company indicate potential cooling-energy savings of 18–40% in climates comparable to India, depending on glazing, façade orientation, controls and building usage.
The system is targeted at commercial offices, institutional buildings, hospitality projects, airports, transit infrastructure, parking façades, atriums, canopies, pergolas and public buildings. With Alubreeze, Aludecor aims to expand architectural louvers from passive shading products into responsive façade systems integrated with wider building automation.
