APATA urged the state government to expedite airport infrastructure and passenger connectivity linked to the upcoming Bhogapuram (GMR) Visakhapatnam International Airport. Members O. Naresh Kumar, D.D. Varma and K. Kumar Raja asked that construction on the proposed Coastal Corridor begin within a month to ensure quicker access and recommended electric green buses, six passenger lounges across the city and real time flight schedule displays at the airport. The association pressed for integrated last mile solutions to streamline passenger movement.

Citing the Prime Minister's push for green mobility, APATA urged that airport transfers be electric to reduce pollution and energy consumption. The association welcomed the inauguration of Bhogapuram airport and noted that Scoot Airlines commencing operations from July eight would boost the economic prospects of north Andhra Pradesh. It recalled its role in securing international connectivity to Singapore, Dubai, Colombo, Malaysia and Bangkok and its engagement with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to remove naval restrictions at the old airport.

APATA urged GMR to establish a dedicated cargo terminal at Bhogapuram, noting that more than 150 pharmaceutical companies currently transport cargo by road to Chennai and Hyderabad. A cargo facility in Visakhapatnam would reduce logistics costs, save time and lower the carbon footprint while strengthening export capacity. The association sought restoration of direct flights to Bangkok, Malaysia and Colombo, saying that with services to Abu Dhabi and Singapore the city could have five major international connections.

The group observed that while the old airport earlier handled 88 daily flight movements the number has fallen to 60 and that with Bhogapuram becoming operational it expects movements to cross 90. It asked GMR and the state government to sign a memorandum of understanding with cab aggregators Uber and Ola to introduce fixed fare airport taxi services and prevent surge pricing. APATA argued that these measures would improve passenger convenience, strengthen cargo exports and enhance affordable last mile connectivity while contributing to economic growth in north Andhra Pradesh.
