Axis Solutions, GEC Gandhinagar Launch Industry-Supported Lab

Axis Solutions, a provider of industrial automation, instrumentation and control solutions, has partnered with Government Engineering College Gandhinagar (GEC Gandhinagar) to launch an Industry Supported Lab in the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) department. The initiative aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and equip engineering students with practical exposure to industrial technologies and applications.

Inaugurated on September 9, 2026, the lab will provide students and faculty members with hands-on experience in industrial technologies while creating opportunities for knowledge exchange between academia and industry. As part of the collaboration, Axis Solutions will contribute industrial automation, analytical and instrumentation products, along with system solutions, while GEC Gandhinagar will provide the required infrastructure and facilities.

Dr. Bijal Sanghvi, Managing Director, Axis Solutions Limited, said, “The next generation of engineers must be equipped to solve real industrial challenges, not just understand them in theory. This Centre of Excellence is our effort to bring industry closer to the classroom, giving students access to the technologies, applications and practical knowledge that will shape the future of instrumentation and automation.”

The Industry Supported Lab will facilitate various industry-focused programmes, including expert sessions, Faculty Development Programmes, student internships, placement initiatives, skill development programmes, industrial study tours and short-term continuing education programmes.

Designed to promote applied learning, the lab will help students strengthen their understanding of instrumentation, automation and control systems while gaining insights into their real-world applications across industrial environments.

The initiative will also encourage collaboration in knowledge sharing, research and emerging technologies by combining academic expertise with Axis Solutions’ industry experience. Through this long-term engagement, Axis Solutions aims to support the development of industry-ready engineering talent and contribute to the evolving instrumentation, automation and industrial technology ecosystem in India.
