Bharat Forge Secures Long-Term Contract With Embraer

Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) has entered into a long-term contract with Embraer to manufacture and supply critical landing gear forgings, becoming the first supplier from India to join Embraer's global aerospace supply chain for forged components. The agreement covers high-integrity forged parts for landing gear systems used across Embraer's commercial and defence aircraft programmes. The deal underlines BFL's growing role in the global aerospace supply chain and its capability to meet stringent certification requirements.

Under the contract, BFL will provide forged components designed for safety-critical applications and will support product realisation from engineering through testing and validation. The engagement is intended to strengthen long-term collaboration on quality and reliability and to enable scale in critical structural forgings. The arrangement also complements existing capabilities in aero engine component manufacturing.

Amit B Kalyani, vice chairman and joint managing director of BFL, described the award as a proud milestone that evidences the aerospace capabilities the company has developed and indicated an intent to deepen the partnership with Embraer in the coming years. He added that the contracts would help create scale for critical structural components, complementing the scale attained in the aero engine space. The company noted that the award reflects confidence in its metallurgical knowledge and full-service supply capability.

Embraer's selection of an Indian supplier is presented as part of its broader effort to advance the aerospace ecosystem in India and to expand engagement with local industry and government stakeholders. BFL's aerospace division is reported to focus on design, precision forging, machining and sub-assembly integration while adhering to international standards. The company said it will continue to pursue innovation and capability expansion to support global OEMs and tier one suppliers.
