Bosch And TSF Group Form Joint Venture For Air Systems

Bosch Limited has formed a joint venture with Brakes India and Wheels India, subsidiaries of the TSF Group, to expand air systems for the commercial vehicle sector. The venture will be a 50:50 partnership and is intended to commence operations by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The registered office will be in Chennai and the global supply chain will be managed by entities of Bosch, Brakes India and Wheels India.

The joint venture will focus on engineering, manufacturing and sales of electronically controlled, software driven modules for air compression, air processing, air suspension and air parking brakes. Partners will combine capabilities to deliver system level solutions for original equipment manufacturers to address efficiency, safety and automation. The move reflects an industry shift from mechanical hardware to software driven architectures in commercial vehicles.

Bosch management described the move as part of a continuous expansion of capabilities to strengthen global leadership in the commercial vehicle segment and to shape advanced air systems. Brakes India emphasised its experience as a leading supplier of pneumatic braking systems and noted the venture will enable the offer of air braking parts for e enabled mobility. Wheels India highlighted its three decades of experience in bus air suspension and welcomed collaboration to advance electronic air suspension for global customers.

The boards of Bosch, Brakes India and Wheels India approved the transaction to meet accelerating customer demand for greater efficiency and automation in commercial vehicle motion management. Bosch in India operates through 14 companies, 17 manufacturing sites and seven development and application centres and reported consolidated sales of 2.7 billion (bn) euros in FY 2024–25. Total net sales in India were 373,457 million (mn) Rs, approximately euros 4.13 billion (bn), and the company employed 38,655 associates as of 31 March 2025. Globally the Bosch Group employs roughly 412,000 associates and reported sales of 91 bn euros in 2025.
