The Chief Minister announced an infrastructure package of Rs 19 billion (bn) for Keonjhar to accelerate development across the district. The package is intended to address long standing gaps in connectivity, water supply and public amenities while supporting social and economic infrastructure. The announcement specified a focus on improving roads, strengthening water and sanitation services and upgrading civic facilities.

Authorities indicated that the plan will cover town and rural road upgrades, augmentation of water systems, sanitation improvements and enhancements to health and education infrastructure. The Chief Minister outlined that the initiative aims to stimulate local economic activity and improve livelihoods by facilitating better access to markets and services. Implementation will involve technical assessments, tendering and monitoring by designated agencies.
