CM Majhi Announces Rs 19 Billion Infrastructure Push For Keonjhar
Authorities indicated that the plan will cover town and rural road upgrades, augmentation of water systems, sanitation improvements and enhancements to health and education infrastructure. The allocation is expected to be deployed through phased projects coordinated by state departments and local bodies. Project plans will be developed to align with existing schemes and to prioritise areas with the greatest need.
The Chief Minister outlined that the initiative aims to stimulate local economic activity and improve livelihoods by facilitating better access to markets and services. Officials added that enhanced infrastructure is expected to benefit both residents and the industrial and mining sectors in the district. Implementation will involve technical assessments, tendering and monitoring by designated agencies.
Work on the projects will proceed in stages with timelines to be announced by the administration as planning advances. The package is projected to strengthen resilience of civic services and support sustained growth in the district. Stakeholders in Keonjhar will be engaged during execution to ensure that local priorities are reflected in project delivery.
