Dilip Buildcon Secures Rs 1,602 mn EPC Order in Odisha

Dilip Buildcon (DBL) has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 1,602 mn from the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation (OB&CC) for the construction of a six-lane diversion road in Sundargarh district in Odisha. The contract, awarded under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model, covers development of a six-lane carriageway together with service roads along the Duduka-Gopalpur-Toparia Road corridor. The project stretch extends between km 4.700 and km 11.500.

According to the company regulatory filing, the order value of Rs 1,602 mn is exclusive of GST and the work is slated for completion within 18 months. DBL indicated that the award comes from a domestic authority and that neither its promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding body.

The firm clarified that the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction and said the assignment will broaden its project pipeline in road infrastructure. The award was described as strengthening the company’s execution portfolio at a time of continued government spending on transport networks. EPC contracts were noted as providing defined execution opportunities and clearer revenue visibility over the medium term for construction firms.

For the quarter ended March 2026, DBL reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 620.5 mn, a decline of 63.67 per cent from Rs 1,708.3 mn in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue from operations fell 25.71 per cent year-on-year to Rs 22,998 mn. The company is scheduled to announce results for the first quarter of FY27 on 10 August 2026.

The new order will add to DBL’s execution backlog and near-term revenue prospects even as the company addresses margin pressures evident in recent quarters. Market observers will watch delivery timelines and contract mobilisation as indicators of operational recovery.
