DoT’s NCA signs MoU with IIM Calcutta for telecom training

The National Communications Academy (NCA) of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Sanchar Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Dr Neeraj Mittal, Chairman DCC and Secretary (Telecom).

The MoU was formally signed by Prof Alok Kumar Rai, Director, IIMC, and Shri Atul Sinha, Director General, National Communications Academy – Technology (NCA-T), Ghaziabad. Also present were Prof R Rajesh Babu, Dean (Executive Education), IIMC, Shri Navneet Chouhan, DDG (TS & PR), NCA-T, and Shri Shashi Shekhar Pandey, Director (Policy Research), NCA-T.

The agreement sets out a comprehensive collaboration framework between NCA and IIMC to strengthen cooperation in capacity building, research, consulting, policy formulation, and training across emerging fields such as Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), mobile communication, and cyberspace.

It underscores a shared commitment to developing knowledge-driven programmes, hosting joint workshops, and creating a platform for policy and advisory collaboration aimed at enhancing human resource development in India’s growing telecommunications sector.
