DRDO To Showcase Breakthrough Defence Systems At Republic Day 2026
At Kartavya Path, DRDO will present the LR-AShM along with its launcher. Designed to meet the coastal battery requirements of the Indian Navy, the hypersonic glide missile can engage both static and moving targets and carry multiple payloads. Equipped with indigenous avionics and advanced sensor packages, the missile follows a quasi-ballistic trajectory, reaching speeds of up to Mach 10 and maintaining high manoeuvrability, making detection by enemy radars extremely difficult.
At Bharat Parv, held at the Red Fort from January 26 to 31, the DRDO tableau will display indigenously developed submarine technologies, including the Integrated Combat Suite, Wire Guided Heavy Weight Torpedo and Air Independent Propulsion system. These systems enhance underwater combat capability, endurance and stealth, reinforcing India’s push towards self-reliance and technological superiority in defence under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
