Escorts Kubota Launches Powertrac Shaurya Paddy Tractor Series

Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) has launched the Powertrac Shaurya series, a paddy tractor line that comprises five variants across the 39 to 52 horsepower range. The launch represents the first dedicated paddy and wetland-focused series from the Powertrac brand and is aimed at paddy-growing regions of Southern India including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The move is intended to strengthen the company's presence in a key mechanisation segment.

The Shaurya series is engineered for reliable operations in wetland and waterlogged field conditions and incorporates cassette-type sealing across critical aggregates to prevent water and mud ingress. It features a sharp turning radius of three point one metres to aid manoeuvrability in small and medium sized fields and a fully constant mesh gearbox with eight forward and two reverse gears. The tractors offer Sensi-1 hydraulic lift in the 1600–2000 kilogram (kg) range depending on the variant.

An independent power take-off (PTO) lever with double clutch configuration enables controlled implement operations and supports advanced applications such as baler usage while offering dual PTO speed options of 540 and 1000 as well as reverse PTO to support diversified paddy applications. Additional design elements include a perforated elevated platform for paddy use, protected wiring harness routing inside the fender channel and an adjustable slider seat with anti-slippery pads to aid long working hours. The models will be available across authorised Powertrac dealerships in Southern India.

Company leadership indicated that Southern India is central to Escorts Kubota's next phase of growth and that the Shaurya range aligns with objectives to deepen presence in paddy markets and expand regional footprint. Executives added that product development began with field conditions and that Shaurya was engineered specifically for paddy and wetland operations to deliver reliability in demanding applications, thereby improving the regional composition of the tractor portfolio. EKL noted its legacy of over 80 years in engineering and its portfolio of Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota tractors alongside Farmpower machinery and construction equipment.
