Hind Rectifiers (HIRECT) has recently announced the commercial availability of advanced copper conductors from its expanded facility in Sinnar, Nashik. The new product portfolio includes Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTC), Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (PICC), and Enameled Paper Insulated Copper Conductors (EPICC), designed for high-power transformers, traction motors, and wound components.
The conductors are engineered to support key infrastructure sectors such as power grids, railway systems, and industrial power networks, while also strengthening the company’s presence in global markets through exports.
HIRECT’s production lines offer flexibility in conductor sizing and insulation. CTC lines support 5 to 63 strands with customisable dimensions, while PICC and EPICC products accommodate copper widths up to 20 mm and thickness up to 8 mm. Advanced insulation capabilities enable precise control of thickness between 0.25 mm and 5 mm, ensuring high thermal and electrical performance.
The facility features a dust-free, air-conditioned manufacturing environment and integrates in-line optical testing systems, including pinhole and blister detection, to ensure dimensional accuracy and product reliability.
Certified under ISO 9001:2015, the Sinnar plant includes in-house testing laboratories for dielectric performance, high-voltage breakdown, and interstrand integrity, ensuring compliance with global quality standards.
