Krystal Integrated Services Acquires Citelum India
Krystal is targeting annual revenue of Rs 3-3.5 bn from the new vertical over the next three to four years and plans to invest approximately Rs 1 bn in engineering capabilities, technology platforms and business expansion. The investment is intended to strengthen technical capacity, digital operations and project delivery across smart city and urban lighting assignments. The company has outlined phased capital deployment to align upgrades with contract wins and operational milestones.
Operational plans call for scaling services across 30-40 cities in 12-15 states, leveraging Citelum's experience in street lighting, maintenance and smart infrastructure solutions. Infrastructure services are expected to contribute 12-15 per cent of consolidated revenues as Krystal broadens its service mix. The acquisition is expected to create cross-selling opportunities with existing engineering services and to enable integrated bids for large municipal contracts.
Integration efforts will focus on harmonising processes, upgrading technology platforms and expanding the workforce to support new contracts and geographic reach. Management indicated the move aligns with a strategic push into regulated and contracted urban services and with plans to enhance recurring revenue streams. The company will monitor integration progress against operational targets and seek to deploy technical teams across priority projects.
