Odisha Launches State e-Pavilion On MSME Global Mart

The Odisha chief secretary, Anu Garg, launched the Odisha State e-Pavilion on the MSME Global Mart portal as a dedicated digital platform to give the state’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) greater visibility and enhanced access to national and international markets. The launch took place in Bhubaneswar and was attended by Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, chairman and managing director of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC). Officials discussed collaborative measures aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the state.

Officials said Acharya outlined several NSIC flagship initiatives and central government schemes, including the National SC ST Hub scheme, the TEAM Initiative and the SRI Fund, and explained how these could support enterprise development in Odisha. The briefing included details of the recently launched MSME Global Mart two point zero and its features for connecting local producers to buyers. Both sides agreed to pursue convergence of NSIC and state government efforts to make Odisha’s MSMEs more competitive and market connected.

The chief secretary emphasised a government-as-a-whole approach to facilitate digital enablement, inclusive procurement and enhanced market access for MSMEs across the state. The state e-pavilion will serve as a digital showcase for Odisha’s MSMEs, covering one district one product (ODOP) products, geographically indicated tagged items, clusters and artisan enterprises. The platform is designed to provide structured access to national and international digital commerce opportunities.

Officials said the initiative aligns with the broader national programmes of Digital India, Make in India and Vocal for Local and is expected to significantly improve visibility, competitiveness and inclusivity of enterprises in Odisha. Administration and NSIC representatives indicated that the partnership will focus on onboarding producers, promoting ODOP lines and enabling logistics and procurement linkages. The state and NSIC will continue to coordinate on implementation and monitoring to measure uptake and market outcomes.
