PDUNASS Launches IBC Training for EPFO Officers

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS) has recently inaugurated a five-day training programme on ‘Legal Management & Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016’ for officers of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The programme, being conducted from 19 to 23 January 2026, aims to strengthen institutional and legal capacity in handling insolvency-related matters under the IBC framework.

Addressing the inaugural session, PDUNASS Director Kumar Rohit highlighted the growing complexity of legal challenges faced by EPFO in insolvency proceedings, including moratorium provisions, treatment of provident fund dues and representation before adjudicating authorities. He underlined the need for officers to remain legally updated and procedurally aligned to safeguard workers’ social security interests.

The programme is being attended by officers across ranks, including RPFC-I, RPFC-II and APFC, and features sessions by experts from the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, resolution professionals, legal practitioners and academicians. The initiative reflects PDUNASS’s continued focus on capacity building and strengthening EPFO’s legal preparedness within the evolving insolvency resolution framework.
