Prayagraj Smart City Limited (PSCL) has begun the redevelopment of Bharadwaj Park to enhance public spaces and urban liveability. The park covers nearly five acres and has been a focal point for leisure and community gatherings in the city. Management of the site has been transferred from the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to PSCL to enable systematic development and sustained upkeep. The initiative forms part of a targeted effort to improve municipal amenities and park management.

Planned upgrades will focus on visitor infrastructure, improved landscaping and upgraded pathways to create a more organised and accessible environment. PSCL has proposed new facilities, including seating areas, improved lighting and a cafeteria, alongside measures to enhance cleanliness and safety. The redevelopment will also incorporate accessibility features to serve people with reduced mobility and design elements aimed at encouraging longer visits and community events.

Officials say the project aims to provide residents with a well maintained green space for relaxation, recreation and social interaction, catering to children, senior citizens and daily visitors. By prioritising maintenance and management, PSCL intends to secure long term utility from existing public assets and reduce the burden on municipal services.
