Sigma Advanced Systems and Indrajaal Drone Defence have entered a long-term strategic partnership under which Sigma will supply core radar and electronic warfare subsystems for Indrajaal's counter-drone systems. The agreement is expected to yield Rs 2.5 bn of contracts in the first year and provides for the exclusive supply of mission-critical systems that Indrajaal will integrate across its counter-UAS solutions. Through Sigma's European operations via Nasmyth, the arrangement extends Indrajaal's market access into the EU and NATO defence ecosystem, materially expanding its addressable market.

Sigma Advanced Systems, founded in 1994, has spent three decades building an integrated defence electronics and systems manufacturing platform that spans concept design, mission-critical electronics engineering, embedded real-time software, environmental qualification, high-reliability manufacturing and lifecycle support. Unlike conventional component suppliers, Sigma operates as a full-spectrum systems house with institutional intellectual property and production maturity that supports rapid industrialisation. Its infrastructure and defence-qualified processes allow scaling without major new capacity creation while maintaining traceability and regulatory compliance.

Sigma's technologies already underpin frontline platforms across missile, aerospace and naval domains. Its missile electronics support programmes including NGARM, ASTRA, AKASH, LRSAM and MRSAM, while its avionics portfolio supplies flight data recorders and antenna control systems for platforms such as SU-30, Hawk-132, IJT and military helicopters. The naval and submarine portfolio comprises torpedo rudder control electronics, power distribution systems and LiDAR-based sensing, and the company develops tactical reconnaissance radars and low-flying air target detection systems with operational ranges from five km to 45 km.

Under the agreement Sigma will remain responsible for the evolution, performance and reliability of the radar, sensing, jamming and spoofing subsystems while Indrajaal focuses on platform integration, deployment and field operations. The model formalises an exclusive supplier relationship that anchors growth in IP-led defence technologies and accelerates deployments across defence and critical infrastructure. The partnership is positioned to reinforce India's domestic capability in counter-UAS systems and support global expansion.
