Telangana Seeks Low-Interest HUDCO Loans For Key Projects

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged HUDCO Chairman Sanjay Kulshrestha to offer low-interest loans for several major development projects undertaken by the Telangana Government. The Chairman met the Chief Minister on Monday, during which Reddy requested financial support for flagship initiatives including Bharat Future City, the Hyderabad Metro Rail extension, the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and various radial roads.

The Chief Minister detailed upcoming greenfield infrastructure, including roads from Bharat Future City to Chennai via Bengaluru and Amaravati, a greenfield highway to Bandar Port and a proposed bullet train corridor. He also raised concerns about restructuring past loans that carry high interest rates, to which the HUDCO Chairman responded positively.

Highlighting the state’s rapid growth, Reddy reiterated the need for concessional financing to accelerate new projects. Kulshrestha informed the Chief Minister that loans for Indiramma housing had already been sanctioned and expressed willingness to expedite funding for an additional 10 million houses.

The Chief Minister invited the HUDCO Chairman to attend the Global Summit scheduled at Bharat Future City on 8–9 December.
