Texmaco Secures USD 135 mn Locomotive Order For Africa
The order encompasses multiple units of the ES43ACi type with a rated output of 4,500 HP and covers engineering, manufacture, testing, delivery and commissioning at the customer site. Execution is to be completed within 20 to 24 months from signature of the definitive agreement, establishing a firm project timeline for delivery and commissioning activities. The contract is designated as international business and will involve cross border logistics and compliance work in the destination jurisdiction.
The company has clarified that the promoter group and group companies have no interest in the contracting parties and that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction. The disclosure was made by the company secretary and compliance officer in accordance with the SEBI listing regulations and associated circulars, indicating procedural adherence. There is no change to existing promoter interests and the contract has been recorded as an arm's length commercial engagement.
The award is expected to bolster Texmaco Rail order book and to expand its international footprint in Africa while leveraging existing manufacturing and project management capabilities. Management will proceed to finalise contractual formalities and commence execution after signature of the definitive agreement, focusing on timely delivery and quality assurance. The company will continue to update markets in line with regulatory requirements as the project advances.
