Continental’s Automotive arm rebrands as Aumovio, eyes future mobility

Continental has announced that its Automotive group sector will be rebranded as Aumovio, marking a new chapter in its evolution as an independent entity focused on future mobility solutions. The name was unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2025, underscoring the company's commitment to the China market and its “in the market for the market” strategy.
Set to list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in September 2025, Aumovio will focus on software-defined vehicles, connected technologies, and autonomous mobility. According to Berylls analysis, the value of such solutions per vehicle is projected to grow 4.7 percent annually till 2029, outpacing global vehicle production rates.
With around 92,000 employees and 2024 revenues of €19.4 billion, the new brand will build on Continental's strong heritage while expanding its global and local development networks.
“Aumovio stands for innovation, agility and ambition,” said Philipp von Hirschheydt, Executive Board Member, Continental, and CEO of Automotive. “As an independent company, we gain creative freedom and speed to shape the mobility of tomorrow.”
The group showcased localised technologies like the Luna and Astra driver assistance systems at Auto Shanghai.
