Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited Aviation (BPCL Aviation) has inaugurated an Aviation Fuel Station (AFS) at Gaya International Airport on 25 July 2026. The opening forms part of the company’s wider programme to expand its fuel infrastructure across India. The ceremony was led by Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Director of Aviation, and Dinabandhu Mandal, Executive Director of Engineering and Project, with senior company officials and aviation representatives in attendance.

The new AFS will support rising domestic and international air traffic at Gaya and enable BPCL Aviation to serve airline customers more effectively. It is expected to streamline fuelling operations on the apron and improve turnaround efficiency for scheduled services. The facility will form an operational node in the company’s network, enhancing supply reliability for carriers that use the airport.

Establishing the AFS at Gaya underlines BPCL Aviation’s focus on supporting regional connectivity and the growing needs of both passenger and cargo operations. The installation complements other infrastructure investments by the company and aligns with broader efforts to modernise aviation support services. Company sources noted that the station will help manage seasonal traffic peaks associated with pilgrimage and tourism.

BPCL Aviation will integrate the AFS into its logistics planning to ensure timely fuel deliveries and operational resilience. The company has positioned the facility to meet increasing fuel requirements of airlines operating from this gateway and to support future growth in flight movements. The addition at Gaya reinforces the firm’s commitment to expand its aviation footprint and to back the development of an important cultural and tourist destination.

Operational readiness will be maintained through routine checks and coordination with airport authorities and airline operators. The AFS will therefore support safe, efficient refuelling while contributing to the broader objective of enhancing regional air connectivity.
