The Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL), operated by Adani Airport Holdings, has leased 405 ready-to-move-in flats from the Wadhwa Group’s township project, Wadhwa Wise City, Panvel. The apartments will be used to house airport staff and their families, the company said.
The township is around 20 minutes from the upcoming Navi Mumbai Airport. Wadhwa Group confirmed that NMIAL signed an MoU to secure these units from October 2025. Spread across the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA), the project is Navi Mumbai’s first and largest integrated township.
“The opening of the Navi Mumbai International Airport is a monumental event for the region. We are seeing rising demand for housing and are delighted to partner with NMIAL,” said Sandeep Sonthalia, CEO, Wadhwa Group.
The township has over 3,000 OC-ready units and is equipped with schools, retail spaces, healthcare centres, gardens, and recreational facilities. Connectivity from South Mumbai to Wadhwa Wise City is under 50 minutes due to recent infrastructure upgrades.
Meanwhile, the airport’s inauguration, earlier scheduled for September 30, has been postponed by a few weeks owing to heavy rains across Mumbai and Konkan, according to reports.
