Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged the Union civil aviation minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu to expedite development of the Adilabad and Mamunur airports in Telangana and sought the Centre's support for strengthening air connectivity and aviation infrastructure across the State. He also pressed for promotion of heli-tourism through helicopter services to boost the tourism sector and improve access to destinations. The requests were conveyed during a meeting at the Union civil aviation ministry in New Delhi.

Civil aviation officials told the delegation that a report on proposed seaplane operations in Hussainsagar would be submitted to the Telangana government within two weeks as part of efforts to explore new modes of connectivity and add an attraction to Hyderabad's tourism infrastructure. The Chief Minister advised that the Telangana government had completed and handed over the required land acquisition for the Mamunur airport near Warangal. He sought a clear timeline for construction and operationalisation of the facility.

The Union minister indicated that tenders for the Mamunur airport works would be invited within two weeks and finalised by December, with the foundation stone scheduled to be laid in the same month. On the Adilabad airport, the Chief Minister requested establishment of both cargo and passenger terminals and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facilities to create a comprehensive aviation hub. He urged the minister to convene a joint meeting of the defence and civil aviation ministries to resolve runway-related issues and enable works to commence at the earliest.

Revanth Reddy emphasised the need to develop aviation infrastructure across different parts of Telangana to support tourism, trade and industry and to strengthen regional connectivity. The proposed facilities at Adilabad and Mamunur are expected to bolster air links in northern and eastern parts of the State respectively. Members of Parliament Suresh Shetkar and M. Anil Kumar Yadav and senior officials including Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju and CMO secretary Manicka Raj participated in the meeting.
