SpiceJet has expanded its fleet with the induction of two Boeing 737 aircraft, enhancing its operational strength across key domestic and international routes. Both aircraft, having completed all regulatory processes, entered commercial service on 26 and 29 November and are now operating on sectors such as Delhi–Bangkok, Ahmedabad–Dubai and Ahmedabad–Kolkata.
The additions come at a time when the airline is focusing on improving connectivity, strengthening schedule reliability and meeting rising passenger demand. The new aircraft are expected to provide greater choice and flexibility for travellers during the peak travel period.
According to Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, the calibrated capacity expansion aligns with the airline’s efforts to build a stronger and more resilient network. He noted that the new aircraft will further support SpiceJet’s commitment to reliable, efficient and affordable air travel.
